Nelli Kim is a retired Soviet gymnast who was a prominent figure in the 1970s. She won five Olympic gold medals, including individual titles in the vault and floor exercise. Kim was known for her elegance and difficulty in routines, often pushing the boundaries of the sport. Her performances helped elevate the artistic aspect of gymnastics, and she played a significant role in the development of the Code of Points. After retiring, Kim became an international judge and official, continuing to influence the sport.
